What Our 2026 System Upgrade Means for You

At CBC Bank, we’re always looking for ways to serve you better and in 2026, we’re taking a major step forward.

In the latest episode of CBC Connect, we sit down with CFO Cary Williams to break down what’s officially called a core conversion and what we’re calling: a system upgrade designed to enhance your banking experience.

So… What Is a Core Conversion?

Simply put, it’s a full upgrade of the bank’s core technology system — the platform that securely houses customer information and powers digital banking .

Cary describes it like this:

It’s like upgrading from a flip phone to a new iPhone.

This upgrade brings:

  • A completely enhanced mobile banking app
  • Improved online banking features
  • Integrated tools like Zelle
  • Connectivity with QuickBooks and Quicken
  • Budgeting tools and expanded financial visibility
  • Faster, more streamlined in-branch account opening with e-sign capabilities

In short? A smoother, more modern banking experience.

What Will Change — and What Stays the Same

The biggest visible change will be digital. Customers will see a new mobile app and upgraded online banking platform in early June 2026.

While technology is improving, what won’t change is our commitment to personal service. You’ll still be greeted by the same team members who know you by name — just with better tools to serve you faster.

What’s With the Ducks? 🦆

If you’ve visited one of our branches recently, you may have noticed ducks around the lobby.

They represent the perfect analogy:

On the surface, a duck looks calm and smooth.
Underneath? The feet are working hard.

That’s exactly what’s happening right now at CBC Bank. Behind the scenes, our team is working tirelessly to ensure this transition is seamless for you.
