Ryan Warren Joins Georgia Bankers Association Board

VALDOSTA, Ga. - CBC Bank is proud to announce that President and Chief Executive Officer Ryan Warren has been elected to serve a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Bankers Association (GBA), one of the state's most respected banking organizations.

Warren was elected by his peers in South Georgia and will also serve as the Community Bankers Committee representative while chairing that committee during the coming year. His appointment reflects both his leadership within the banking industry and his longstanding commitment to serving community banks and the customers they support.

“Ryan brings a track record of leadership, a deep understanding of community banking and a genuine commitment to serving his community that will be an asset to our board,” said Susan V. Moss, GBA chairman and president and CEO, Planters & Citizens Bank, Camilla. “His experience and perspective will help guide the association’s efforts to support banks across the state.”

The Georgia Bankers Association serves as the leading advocate for Georgia's banking industry, promoting a strong and vibrant banking system while providing education, professional development, and legislative representation for financial institutions throughout the state.

"I am honored by the confidence my peers have placed in me and grateful for the opportunity to serve on the GBA Board of Directors," said Warren. "Community banks play a vital role in the economic success of Georgia's communities, and I look forward to working alongside fellow board members to advance the interests of our industry and ensure we continue meeting the evolving needs of our customers."

A native of Early County, Warren has built a distinguished banking career spanning nearly three decades. He began his career in 1998 as a banker in South Georgia and ultimately joined the team at CBC Bank in 2015 as Senior Vice President and Chief Retail Officer. He later advanced into the Chief Lending Officer role before being named President and CEO in 2021.

Warren earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Valdosta State University's Harley Langdale Jr. College of Business and is a graduate of the Georgia Banking School.
