Brenda and Russell Hassenstab, owners of Kona Ice, established Kona Ice of Lowndes on May 27, 2017 and is the coolest mobile shaved ice truck in town. They travel around Lowndes and surrounding counties delivering smiles one cup at a time.
In many ways, Kona Ice thinks of themselves as the ray of sunshine in times of darkness. Their flashy, colorful, steel drum sounding mobile unit will have you wanting to dance any time you hear them coming and have you thinking that you have escaped to the tropics. And, while you are dreaming of being in the tropics, Kona hands you cups of shaved ice that you can flavor yourself using their patent Flavorwave!
